Sasha Perskie

Sasha Perskie is a 17-year-old musician who, since discovering songwriting, hasn’t found anything that excites her more. Currently a piano major at Red Bank Regional’s Performing Arts Academy, she often draws from her classical background when writing melodies — though she admits that nothing sparks ideas quite like sitting outside with a guitar.

Nostalgic and introspective, Sasha’s music is best categorized as indie-pop with a focus on thoughtful lyricism; at the same time, as a teenager, Sasha is constantly evolving as a songwriter, and loves experimenting with unexpected chords and meters. And despite the most common themes in her music, Sasha would like everyone to know that she is not, in fact, depressed.
